The Black Ag Network for Cooperation (BANC)

Bringing Farmers together to help everyone succeed

The Campaign Summary

Across the U.S., Black-led agricultural organizations play a vital role in advancing food sovereignty, land stewardship, and economic justice. Yet many of these groups face shrinking resources—declining grant funding, limited operational budgets, and staff burnout—threatening their ability to sustain critical community-based programs. The COVID-19 pandemic, inflationary pressures, and systemic underinvestment have only exacerbated these challenges.

To address these realities, we’ve created the Black Ag Network for Cooperation (BANC)—a cooperative initiative designed to preserve and strengthen programs through shared staffing, resource pooling, and collaborative capacity-building.
